Week Three, Day Four
SURPRISE! Today was actually supposed to be Day Five, but Thursday, I got my tattoo worked on and my arm was so sore and bruised that I said nope, gonna skip it.
But I was determined to get up this morning and go. And since it wasn't a "get up at the ass crack of dawn" workout day, I was actually up and ready to go fairly easily.
What I didn't account for was that it's Week 3 of C25k which I have lovingly dubbed "hell week" because week one and two aren't so bad, and once you hit the last day of week 2, you feel pretty good. It's like you get this little boost of confidence that say, "Alright alright alright, I can do this thing. Getting fit and powering through!" And then you hit week 3 and you're like WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK. It moves from a doable amount of running time to reallllly pushing yourself. I usually give up during the 3 week mark for this reason - but I'm not going to this time!
Anyway, as suspected, I couldn't run for the entire time today, but I tried! And I'm determined to get through Week 3, Day 2 of C25k without walking during the run parts.
And there's really nothing stronger than determination.
