Week Fourteen, Day One

I hesitate to call today "Day One" because I didn't officially workout today. Yesterday and today, I decided to walk and work on my treadmill. I haven't done this in a long time. Mostly because... I love my dekstop mac and have a hard time doing work on anything other than it. And also because I've been lazy. But I'm super serious about this losing weight thing. And a change of pace/scenery can't be a bad thing. Today was a good hour and a half, which was a nice amount. 

The thing to remember is that you don't burn a lot of calories doing this because your heart rate isn't up enough. At least, if you're doing it right that is. You should be walking/moving at 1.5 pace. Nothing to work up a sweat. You're just trying to keep moving. I used to do this a lot more back when I had my old day job. My husband built my treadmill desk (and by built, I mean he took a board and some cord and made a makeshift desk LOL).

It totally works for a few hours. And honestly, sometimes it helps to step out of the office for a bit and the walking does help with focusing sometimes. 

Anyway - I'm not sure I'll make an update EVERY time I do a working/walking session - but I thought it was worth mentioning. Because I stepped on the scale (much to my husband's dismay) and I'm down another 1 lb. WAHOO!
